The XTRONS IDP9090B is a 9 inch Android head unit made to fit BMW 3 Series E90, E91, E92 and E93 models and the M3 that don't have iDrive or a factory LCD screen. It adds wireless CarPlay, Android Auto, 4G and a 4x45W amplifier, with CANbus decoding to keep the car's information on screen.

Wireless Apple CarPlay
CarPlay puts your iPhone's maps, messages and music on the 9 inch screen without a cable. Siri works directly from the unit for hands-free requests.
Android Auto
Full-featured Android Auto brings navigation, calls and music from an Android phone to the screen, with Google Assistant available by voice.
9 inch HD IPS screen
The 9 inch 1280×720 HD display uses Grade-A G+G touch glass for responsive control. As an IPS panel, it stays clear from the passenger seat too.
Octa-core Android system
A true octa-core A55 processor with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage runs an optimised Android system for smooth multitasking. The unit plays 1080P video and supports AHD cameras through the included camera cable.
CANbus decoding
The included CANbus box keeps original features working after the upgrade, and the screen can show car information such as ACC control and mileage.
Sound tuning
The DSP and EQ system let you shape the sound in detail to suit your speakers and the cabin.
4x45W amplifier
The built-in 4x45W TCB001HQ amplifier keeps the output stable at different volume levels, giving balanced sound throughout the car.
Built-in 4G LTE
The 4G LTE module supports European and Asian networks. A 4G antenna and SIM card slot cable are included, so the unit can stream and navigate on its own data.
Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi lets the unit connect to a hotspot or your home network for downloads and updates.
GPS navigation
A GPS antenna is in the box, so navigation apps run on the head unit itself.
FM radio
An SI4755 radio with RDS handles FM reception and shows station information.
DAB with an adapter
DAB radio is supported with an external DAB adapter, sold separately.
Screen mirroring
Screen mirroring shows your phone's display on the head unit, useful for apps outside CarPlay and Android Auto while parked.
USB
Two USB cables are included for media from a USB stick or a wired phone connection.
Microphone
The unit supports a microphone for hands-free calls and voice commands.

- Please check to see whether your car has an iDrive system or is equipped with a LCD screen. If it has, this unit is NOT compatible with your car. Please refer to QDB8060CC/QDB8060CI.
Remove the plastic frame before fitting the unit. A 6m extension cable comes with the ISO wiring harness and must be connected to the car's battery so the unit keeps its memory. Two air-conditioning covers are provided; if neither suits your air-conditioning face panel, the sides of the plastic frame need trimming. Cars with Logic7 or a fibre optic factory radio without 8 speaker wires also need the XTRONS FOBB05 decoder.
My E90 has iDrive. Will it fit?
No. For cars with iDrive or a factory LCD screen, look at the XTRONS QDB8060CC or QDB8060CI instead.
I have a Logic7 system. Do I need anything else?
Yes. Cars with Logic7, or a factory radio with fibre optic input and no 8 speaker wires, need the XTRONS FOBB05 decoder to keep the factory amplifier and avoid having no sound.
Does it play DVDs?
No, this unit doesn't have a DVD player.
Why does it connect to the battery?
The 6m extension cable with the ISO wiring harness goes to the battery so the unit remembers its settings.
