The screen blends Android with the car's original EVO system, and the original CD player stays in place. It only works with the original 2 Series F22 / F23 EVO system.

NBT EVO has a 6-pin LVDS port, and the version info shows "NBTevo_xxxx" and "Automatic map update". The look of the menus alone doesn't prove it's EVO, so check the version info.

The 14.9″ Grade-A 2K IPS screen has a 32:9 shape, so a map and another app fit side by side without switching. Colours are strong and it reads well from both seats.

The slim, fully laminated design with a custom bezel and 2.5D edge gives it a factory look.

CarPlay connects without a cable, so your iPhone can stay in your pocket. Maps, calls and music appear on the wide screen and Siri takes voice requests.

Android phones connect wirelessly, putting Google Maps, music and calls on the screen with Google Assistant for voice control.

Insert a SIM card and the 4G module gives the unit its own connection for navigation, video and streaming. The 4G antenna and SIM card slot are in the box.

Wi-Fi lets the unit join a phone hotspot or home network for downloads and updates.

A DSP lets you adjust the sound to suit the car's speakers and your taste.

A GPS antenna is supplied, so navigation apps run on the unit itself as well as through CarPlay and Android Auto.

A USB cable comes with the unit for connecting a phone or playing files from a USB stick.

A mini microphone is included for hands-free calls and voice commands. Mount it close to the driver.

Digital radio works with an external DAB tuner, sold separately.

Screen mirroring shows your phone's display on the 14.9″ screen, handy for apps outside CarPlay and Android Auto when parked.
