The XTRONS IDS80A4AL is an 8 inch double DIN Android head unit made to fit the Audi A4, S4 and RS4 (B6 and B7) and the SEAT Exeo. It adds wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, an HD touch screen and a 4x45W amplifier, and works with the car's original BOSE system.

Wireless Apple CarPlay
CarPlay connects your iPhone to the 8 inch screen without a cable, so maps, calls and music are easy to reach with a tap. Siri works directly from the head unit for hands-free requests.
Your iPhone connects on its own when you start the car, so there's no cable to plug in. It needs an iPhone with wireless CarPlay support; check yours in Settings > General > CarPlay. A cable still works when you'd rather charge on the way.
Android Auto
Android phones connect through Android Auto, with Google Assistant available by voice. Navigation and music are controlled from the touchscreen rather than the phone.
Maps, calls, messages and music from your Android phone appear on the car screen, with Google Assistant for voice control. It needs a phone with Google services, which most Android phones have. To connect without a cable, the phone must support wireless Android Auto too.
8 inch HD IPS screen
The 8 inch 1280×720 HD display uses Grade-A G+G touch glass for responsive control. As an IPS panel, it stays clear when viewed from the passenger seat.
A quick display window lets you keep car speed, navigation or video playback in view at a glance.
Sound tuning
The DSP and EQ system let you adjust the sound in detail, so you can balance it across the cabin and suit it to your speakers.
The sound processor lets you tune the sound to your car: an equaliser, a delay for each speaker so the sound centres on your seat, and crossovers that keep deep bass away from small speakers. Start from a preset and change one setting at a time.
4x45W amplifier
The built-in 4x45W TCB001HQ amplifier keeps the output steady at different volume levels, so the sound stays balanced whether you're listening quietly or turning it up.
The built-in amplifier drives your car's speakers directly, which is all most cars need. If your car has a factory amplifier, as many premium sound systems do, it usually stays in use and may need an adapter, so check before ordering.
Octa-core Android system
A true octa-core A55 processor with 2GB RAM and 64GB storage runs an optimised Android system for smooth everyday use. The XTRONS UI lets you choose your music sources and favourite apps.
Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi lets the unit connect to a phone hotspot or your home network for app downloads and online maps.
DAB with an adapter
DAB radio is supported with an external DAB adapter, sold separately.
Digital radio gives clearer sound and more stations than FM where there's DAB coverage. It needs a DAB aerial: a stick-on windscreen aerial is the usual choice, or a splitter if your car already has a combined FM and DAB aerial.
Microphone for calls
The unit supports a microphone for hands-free calls and voice assistants, so you can talk without picking up the phone.
USB
Two USB cables are included, for wired phone connections or playing media from a USB stick.

- Please note this is a Double DIN size product. If your vehicle's original CD player is Single DIN size, this unit will NOT fit your car.
- This head unit is compatible with your car's original BOSE system.
This is a double DIN unit with a 235/230x127mm face panel, so it won't fit a car with a single DIN CD player. It comes with an external CANbus box and two ISO wiring harnesses. Depending on your radio antenna port, you may need the XTRONS ICE/ACS/ISOFZ cable, and if the rear speakers have static or no sound afterwards, the XTRONS AK/INIB/NRCBL (for a 40pin original ISO plug) solves it.
Will it fit my A4?
It fits the A4, S4 and RS4 B6 and B7 and the SEAT Exeo with a double DIN radio. If your original CD player is single DIN, it won't fit. Check the dimensions and shape of your centre console before ordering.
Does it work with my BOSE system?
Yes, it's compatible with the car's original BOSE system.
My rear speakers have no sound after fitting. What do I need?
The XTRONS AK/INIB/NRCBL cable. Make sure your original ISO wiring harness plug is 40pin before buying it.
