High to Low Impedance Converter

A 40pin ISO harness adapter with a built-in high to low impedance converter for Audi A3 and A4 cars fitted with an aftermarket stereo. It fixes rear speakers that have no sound or static noise after the new unit goes in.

  • Cures silent or crackling rear speakers in the Audi A3 and A4 after fitting an aftermarket stereo
  • 40pin ISO harness adapter with a high to low impedance converter
  • Takes the red and white RCA connectors from the head unit

Fixes rear speaker problems in the A3 and A4

Some Audi A3 and A4 cars end up with no sound or static noise from the rear speakers once an aftermarket stereo is fitted. This adapter sits between the stereo and the car's harness and converts the signal from high to low impedance, which sorts the problem out.

It uses a 40pin ISO connection, so check your car's original ISO plug is 40pin before ordering.

How it connects

With the stereo switched off, unplug the ISO harness from the XTRONS unit. Plug the red and white RCA connectors into the matching colour-coded jacks on the adapter.

The adapter then connects to the unit's original harness as an extension, and the harness plugs back into the unit.
