The XTRONS IM84A4AH is an 8.8 inch Android 14 double DIN head unit for the Audi A4, S4 and RS4 (B6 and B7) and the SEAT Exeo. It adds wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, global 4G and an AKM DSP, and keeps factory features through CANbus.

Wireless CarPlay
CarPlay connects to your iPhone over Wi-Fi, so there's no cable to plug in each time. Maps, messages and music appear on the 8.8 inch screen, and voice control lets you ask for directions without looking away from the road.
Wireless Android Auto
Android Auto is wireless too. Google Maps, your music apps and calls show on the dashboard as soon as the phone connects.
8.8 inch QLED screen
The 8.8 inch QLED screen runs at 1280×480 and has anti-glare properties, so it stays readable in bright sun. It plays 1080P video.
IPS panel and G+G glass
The IPS panel keeps colours consistent from either seat, and the G+G tempered glass gives a firm, responsive touch surface.
AKM DSP and 36-band equaliser
The AKM 7604 DSP with 36-band equalisation lets you fine-tune the sound for your car's cabin and speakers, rather than settling for a basic bass and treble setting.
Built-in amplifier
A TDA7851 amplifier with 4x 48W output drives the speakers, so you don't need a separate amplifier for a solid upgrade over the factory sound.
Optical, coaxial and RCA outputs
Optical, coaxial and RCA outputs let you send the sound to an external amplifier or processor if you plan to build on the system later. An RCA cable is in the box.
Global 4G LTE
Put a standard Micro-SIM in the unit and it has its own 4G connection for live traffic, weather and streaming, with no phone tethering. A 4G antenna is included.
Dual-band Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi works on 2.4G and 5G bands, and it's also what carries wireless CarPlay and Android Auto.
Two Bluetooth modules
There are two Bluetooth modules. The Qualcomm one streams audio with aptX HD, while the Unisoc 5.2 module connects an OBD-II scanner or a dash cam at the same time.
Navigation
Navigation apps run on the unit with real-time traffic over 4G, and a GPS antenna is in the box.
Screen mirroring
Screen mirroring shows your phone's display on the head unit, handy for apps that don't run in CarPlay or Android Auto.
Steering wheel controls and factory features
Through CANbus, the steering wheel controls for volume, track and calls work straight away, and factory features such as ACC and door reminders are kept.
DAB radio
DAB digital radio works when you connect an external DAB tuner to the unit.

- This head unit is compatible with your car's original BOSE system.
This is a double DIN unit with a 238/228x125mm face panel, so check the year, dimensions and shape of your centre console before ordering; it won't fit a car with a single DIN CD player. It connects with the ISO wiring harnesses, CANbus box and radio adapter cable in the box. Some cars need the XTRONS ICE/ACS/ISOFZ cable for the radio antenna. If the rear speakers have static or no sound after fitting, the XTRONS AK/INIB/NRCBL may help, for cars with a 40pin original ISO plug.
Will my steering wheel buttons work?
Yes. Volume, track and call buttons work through the CANbus integration, with no extra adapters or coding.
Does it work with my Audi's BOSE system?
Yes, it's compatible with the car's original BOSE system.
What SIM card does the 4G use?
A standard Micro-SIM.
Will it fit my car with a single DIN CD player?
No. It's a double DIN unit, so a car with a single DIN CD player can't take it.
What is the gyroscope for?
