XTRONS PX84A3ALDABGS is an 8 inch Android 14 head unit, custom fit for the Audi A3 8P, S3 8P and RS3 Sportback. It has DAB+ built in, plus wireless CarPlay, Android Auto, 4G and an AKM DSP.

Built-in DAB+ radio
DAB+ is built in, so digital stations play without an external tuner. Noise-cancelling and signal optimisation help keep reception clear on the move. A radio antenna cable is in the box.
Digital radio gives clearer sound and more stations than FM where there's DAB coverage. It needs a DAB aerial: a stick-on windscreen aerial is the usual choice, or a splitter if your car already has a combined FM and DAB aerial.
Wireless Apple CarPlay
CarPlay connects to your iPhone without a cable, and works with iPhone 5 and later on iOS 8 and above. Maps, music and calls appear on the 8 inch screen, with voice commands for hands-free control.
Your iPhone connects on its own when you start the car, so there's no cable to plug in. It needs an iPhone with wireless CarPlay support; check yours in Settings > General > CarPlay. A cable still works when you'd rather charge on the way.
Full-featured Android Auto
Android phones with Android 4.3 and above can run Android Auto on the head unit, with Google Maps, music apps and voice commands.
Maps, calls, messages and music from your Android phone appear on the car screen, with Google Assistant for voice control. It needs a phone with Google services, which most Android phones have. To connect without a cable, the phone must support wireless Android Auto too.
4G mobile data
Insert a Micro-SIM card and the head unit has its own 4G connection for streaming and live navigation. A 4G antenna and SIM card slot cable are supplied.
A SIM card in the head unit gives it its own internet connection for maps, traffic and streaming, so it doesn't need your phone's hotspot. You supply the SIM and the data plan; a data-only SIM is usually the cheapest way to do it.
Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi lets the head unit join a phone hotspot or home network for updates and downloads.
AKM DSP sound
An AKM DSP chip handles the sound, with customisable modes and EQ settings to suit anything from classical to electronic music.
The sound processor lets you tune the sound to your car: an equaliser, a delay for each speaker so the sound centres on your seat, and crossovers that keep deep bass away from small speakers. Start from a preset and change one setting at a time.
8 inch IPS screen
The 8 inch G+G touch screen uses IPS technology, so colours stay true when viewed from an angle and the passenger sees a clear picture too.
Microphone for calls
A microphone comes in the box for hands-free calls and voice commands. Mount it near the driver for the clearest pickup.
USB
Two USB cables are supplied for connecting phones or playing media from a USB stick.
Screen mirroring
Screen mirroring shows your phone's screen on the head unit for apps outside CarPlay and Android Auto. Use it when parked.
Mirroring shows your phone's whole screen on the car screen, unlike CarPlay and Android Auto, which show apps designed for driving. It usually needs a companion app on the phone, and paid video streaming apps often block it.
Octa-core and Android 14
A 12nm octa-core 2.2GHz processor runs Android 14 with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. It's tested to work from −30°C to +80°C.

- Please check to see whether your vehicles' radio antenna port is the same as the picture, if it is, you need to order a cable to aid for the installation. (XTRONS ICE/ACS/ISOFZ is compatible.)
- You may need XTRONS AK/INIB/NRCBL if the rear speakers in your vehicle have static noise or no sound after installing this unit. (Please make sure the original ISO wiring harness plug is 40pin before buying.)

The unit is custom fit for the A3 8P family, with two ISO wiring harnesses, a CANbus box, clips and uninstallation tools supplied. The face panel measures 239(top)/228(bottom)x123mm, and it won't fit cars whose original CD unit is single DIN size. Depending on the antenna port you may need the XTRONS ICE/ACS/ISOFZ, and the AK/INIB/NRCBL fixes rear speaker noise on cars with a 40pin plug.
Will it fit my A3?
It fits the A3 8P and 8P1 3-door from 2003-2012, the S3 8P from 2006-2012 and the RS3 Sportback from 2011-2012, unless the original CD unit is single DIN size.
Do I need a separate DAB adapter?
No. DAB+ is built into this unit.
