Inside is a Unisoc 7865 octa-core chipset (2x A75 @ 2.2GHz + 6x A55 @ 1.8GHz) with 4GB RAM and 64GB UFS 2.2 storage, running Android 14. Menus respond quickly and navigation runs alongside music without slowing down.

A built-in gyroscope and inclinometer show the car's roll and pitch in real time, which is handy on tracks and slopes without fitting extra sensors.

Your iPhone connects over Wi-Fi, so maps, messages, calls and music appear on the screen without plugging in. Siri voice control keeps your hands on the wheel.

Android phones connect wirelessly too. Google Maps, your music apps and voice commands are on the dashboard as soon as you set off.

The QLED panel gives strong colours and has an anti-glare finish to help in bright sunlight. It runs at 1280×480 and plays 1080P video.

Being an IPS panel, the picture holds up when you look at it from an angle, so the passenger can read the map too. The G+G tempered glass gives a firm, accurate touch.

The AKM 7604 DSP and 36-band equaliser let you tune the sound to your car's cabin and speakers, correcting boomy bass or harsh treble.

It works through the built-in amplifier and the optical, coaxial and RCA outputs.

A TDA7851 amplifier rated at 4x 48W drives the car's speakers directly, without needing a separate amplifier.

RCA outputs feed an external amplifier or subwoofer, and optical and coaxial outputs carry a digital signal to a separate DSP or amplifier. An RCA cable is in the box.

Insert a standard Micro-SIM and the unit has its own 4G LTE connection for real-time traffic, weather and streaming, without tethering to your phone. The 4G antenna is supplied.

Wi-Fi on 2.4G and 5G carries wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, and lets the unit join a hotspot or home network for updates.

There are two Bluetooth modules. The Qualcomm one streams music with aptX HD, while the Unisoc 5.2 module can connect to OBD-II scanners or dash cams at the same time.

A GPS antenna is included, so navigation apps on the unit can track your position and show real-time traffic over the 4G connection.

The factory steering wheel buttons for volume, track and calls keep working through the CANbus integration.

Show your phone's screen on the head unit to use apps that aren't available in CarPlay or Android Auto.

The unit supports an external DAB receiver for digital radio. Add one if you want DAB, as it isn't built in. A radio antenna cable is supplied for FM and AM.

Two USB cables come with the unit, for connecting a phone and a USB stick of music or video.
