The XTRONS C12T6 steps 12V down to 6V so a factory 6V reversing camera keeps working after you replace the original radio with an aftermarket stereo. It suits cars such as Toyota, Hyundai and Renault models that use a 6V camera.
- Powers a 6V factory backup camera from a 12V supply
- Over-voltage, under-voltage, overload, over-heat and short circuit protection
- Simple four-wire connection: 12V in and 6V out, each with its own ground
Keep your factory camera after a stereo upgrade
Some factory reversing cameras run on 6V, supplied by the original radio. Once that radio is replaced, the new stereo can't power the camera directly. This converter takes the car's 12V supply and turns it into a steady 6V for the camera, so you keep the view behind the car on your new head unit.
It has built-in protection against over-voltage, under-voltage, overload, over-heating and short circuits, and handles high temperatures. Check that your factory camera is a 6V type before ordering.

Universal: fits most cars. Check the dimensions in the specifications against your dash.
- connect your original 6V reversing camera in Toyota/Hyundai/Renault vehicles etc. after upgrading the factory radio to an aftermarket car stereo
Connect the input side's red wire to 12V and black wire to ground, then connect the output side's red 6V wire and black ground wire to the factory camera. The camera's video then goes to your new stereo's camera input as usual.
Do I need this for my car?
If your factory reversing camera runs on 6V and you've fitted an aftermarket stereo, this converter supplies the 6V the camera needs. Check your camera's voltage first.
Is it protected against faults?
Yes. It has over-voltage, under-voltage, overload, over-heat and short circuit protection built in.
