The Freelander's factory amplifier sits on a fibre optic network. Take out the original stereo and that network is broken, so the amplifier and speakers can go quiet. This decoder box keeps the factory amplifier system and fibre optic network running with an aftermarket stereo, so you still get sound through all the speakers.
It's plug and play, with a power supply cable and a fibre optic loop female connector included. It's made for the Land Rover Freelander from 2006-2015, so check your model year before ordering.
