A 10.25 inch Android 12 screen made as a plug-and-play replacement for the factory display in the BMW 5 Series. It adds wireless CarPlay, Android Auto, built-in 4G and a DSP, while the CD player, radio and iDrive all stay.

Android alongside the BMW system
The screen replaces the factory display in the 5 Series and matches the dashboard. You don't need to remove the CD player, radio or iDrive; swipe the screen to move between Android and the original system.
BMW used different iDrive systems across the 5 Series, so check your car's year, system and dashboard against the product photos before ordering.
It runs Android 12 on a Qualcomm octa-core processor with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, with room for your favourite apps.
Wireless Apple CarPlay
Your iPhone connects without a cable, putting maps, calls, music and Siri on the 10.25 inch screen. It works with iPhone 5 and later on iOS 8 and above.
Your iPhone connects on its own when you start the car, so there's no cable to plug in. It needs an iPhone with wireless CarPlay support; check yours in Settings > General > CarPlay. A cable still works when you'd rather charge on the way.
Android Auto
Android Auto connects by USB cable and puts Google Maps, calls, music and Google Assistant on the screen. It supports phones on Android 4.3 and above.
Maps, calls, messages and music from your Android phone appear on the car screen, with Google Assistant for voice control. It needs a phone with Google services, which most Android phones have. To connect without a cable, the phone must support wireless Android Auto too.
Built-in 4G
With a SIM card fitted, the unit has its own 4G connection for live maps and streaming, without using your phone. A 4G antenna is in the box.
A SIM card in the head unit gives it its own internet connection for maps, traffic and streaming, so it doesn't need your phone's hotspot. You supply the SIM and the data plan; a data-only SIM is usually the cheapest way to do it.
Wi-Fi
Connect to a hotspot or your home Wi-Fi to download apps and updates.
Built-in DSP
The DSP lets you adjust the sound to suit the car, so it's balanced around the driver's seat. An RCA cable comes with the unit if you want to add an external amplifier.
The sound processor lets you tune the sound to your car: an equaliser, a delay for each speaker so the sound centres on your seat, and crossovers that keep deep bass away from small speakers. Start from a preset and change one setting at a time.
USB
The supplied USB cable is used for Android Auto and for playing media from a USB stick.
