A DC step down converter that turns a 24V supply into 12V at 10A (MAX20A). Fit it in a truck, bus or other 24V vehicle to run 12V equipment such as a head unit.
- Input 24V (15V-40V), output 12V / 10A (MAX20A)
- Over-voltage, under-voltage, overload, over-heat and short circuit protection
- Aluminium alloy case, waterproof, moisture-proof and dust-proof
- Colour-coded input and output wires
Run 12V kit from a 24V vehicle
Many trucks, buses and coaches run on 24V, while most car stereos and accessories expect 12V. This converter steps the supply down to 12V, delivering 10A (MAX20A), so 12V equipment can be fitted safely.
It accepts a wide input range of 15V-40V, and built-in protection guards against over-voltage, under-voltage, overload, overheating and short circuits. Check that the 12V equipment you're powering stays within the 10A rating.
Build and wiring
The case is aluminium alloy and is waterproof, quake-proof, moisture-proof and dust-proof, so it can be mounted out of sight behind trim.
The wires are colour-coded: red for input positive, black for input negative, yellow for output positive and black for output negative.
