Keep the factory reversing camera
Swapping the factory radio for an aftermarket head unit can leave the original camera with nothing to talk to. This adapter decodes the factory camera signals so the new head unit can show the view behind the car when you reverse.
Dynamic trajectory lines (the guide lines that bend as you turn the wheel) only work if the new head unit has that function itself. The adapter can't add them.
Connect a reversing camera and its picture appears on the screen when you select reverse. Automatic switching needs the reverse signal wired in. If your car already has a factory camera, check whether you need an adapter to keep it.
Plug and play fitting
The decoder is a plug and play adaptor, made to sit between the car's camera wiring and the new head unit. It can be used with XTRONS head units in VW, Skoda and SEAT cars.
