What you need to fit this
1 · In the box
- 1 x Power Cable
- 1 x Remote Control
- 1 x User Manual
- 6 x Nuts
A 15.6 inch Android flip down screen that mounts in the roof of an MPV, bus or motorhome to keep rear passengers entertained. It runs streaming apps on its own over Wi-Fi, plays 4K video and takes an HDMI source such as a games console.
- 15.6″ 1920×1080 FHD IPS screen with wide viewing angles
- Android with 2GB RAM and 32GB ROM, so passengers can stream from apps directly
- Mirror photos, videos and games from a phone without installing an extra app
- HDMI input for a games console, TV box or media player
- Built-in dual speakers, plus Bluetooth, IR and FM-TX for headphones or the car stereo
15.6 inch Full HD screen
The 15.6″ FHD IPS screen runs at 1920×1080, and the IPS panel keeps the picture clear for passengers sitting off to the side as well as those in the middle.
It decodes 4K video, so high-resolution films play back properly. Touch buttons light up when the screen is on and disappear when it's off.
Android apps for the back seats
Because it runs Android, passengers can stream Netflix, YouTube or Spotify on the screen itself, with no phone or tablet needed. 2GB RAM and 32GB ROM leave room to download apps.
You can also pick from several UI themes to change the look of the menus.
Dual-band Wi-Fi
The screen connects to Wi-Fi on either 5GHz for faster streaming or 2.4GHz for a steadier signal over a wider area, for example from a phone hotspot or a motorhome router.
Share from a phone
Photos, videos and games can be sent from a phone to the roof screen without downloading an extra app. It works with Android phones on Android 8.0 and above, and iPhones on iOS 9.0 and above.
Mirroring shows your phone's whole screen on the car screen, unlike CarPlay and Android Auto, which show apps designed for driving. It usually needs a companion app on the phone, and paid video streaming apps often block it.
HDMI and AV inputs
The HD input takes a games console, digital TV box, camera or video recorder, so the roof screen becomes the display for whatever you plug in. These devices aren't included; the XTRONS FV014/FV015DE digital TV receivers are compatible.
There's also an AV input that takes RCA two channel video.
USB playback
Plug a USB flash drive into the screen to play your own films and music. Audio formats include MP3, WAV, FLAC and APE.
Sound for passengers
Dual built-in speakers handle the sound on their own. If the people in front would rather not hear it, passengers can use Bluetooth or IR headphones (not included; XTRONS BH002 / ACBH003 / DWH005/ DWH006 are compatible).
FM-TX sends the audio to an FM receiver such as your car stereo, so it plays through the car's speakers.
