A reversing camera built into the brake light of the Ford Transit Connect (2014-2019) with barn doors. It gives a 145° view behind the van, has built-in infrared for night use and is sealed to IP69K.
The camera is part of a replacement brake light for the Transit Connect with barn doors, so it sits high on the back of the van and looks down over the bumper. A CMOS sensor at 968X488 and a viewing angle of up to 145° give a wide, clear picture of what's behind.
Built-in infrared light helps when reversing at night or in a dark yard, and the IP69K dustproof and waterproof rating suits a camera that lives on the outside of a van.
Connect a reversing camera and its picture appears on the screen when you select reverse. Automatic switching needs the reverse signal wired in. If your car already has a factory camera, check whether you need an adapter to keep it.
A 10 metre video extension cable, video and power adapter cables, a power cable and screws come in the box. Check that your head unit or monitor has a reversing camera input before ordering, and that your van has barn doors rather than a tailgate.
